Corporate Consultant Brings Track Record of Significant Value Creation To the World’s Large Extended Enterprises
San Francisco 05/08/2019 – Cloudleaf, Inc., an emerging leader in digital supply chain solutions, today announced the addition of Bill Read to its corporate Board of Advisors.
Over four decades, Mr. Read has been one of corporate America’s most sought-after advisors to large global enterprises operating complex supply chains. He has worked with a range of multinational companies in industries as varied as retail, consumer goods, industrial products and life sciences.
Mr. Read spent more than a decade at Accenture, directing the consulting giant’s Supply Chain practice in North America as well as its multi-billion dollar global Consumer, Retail and Industrial Products management consulting business. He previously served in executive-level positions at Capgemini, CSC and Cleveland Consulting Associates. He is the founder of 21 Merit, LLC, an independent advisor to corporate management teams and today regularly advises innovative startup companies on critical business issues.
Mr. Read earned a Master’s Degree in Finance and Operations at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering at the University of Michigan.
“With all the talk about enabling the digital supply chain with full visibility, most efforts have fallen short because of a key missing element: namely, the ability to capture product flow data within and between facilities on a real-time basis,” Mr. Read said. “With Cloudleaf’s cloud-based solution and ability to pull data from the Edge, we now can realize the vision of 100% visible Supply Chain. This company has the opportunity to bring extraordinary visibility, efficiencies and responsiveness to supply chains in every industry. It is exciting to be part of an emerging innovator that can redefine peak performance for virtually any supply chain on earth.”
“Bill Read has had as much positive impact on supply chains as any consultant in the business,” said Cloudleaf CEO Mahesh Veerina. “Bill will be a tremendous catalyst for Cloudleaf as we expand our unrivaled solutions to more and more extended supply chain networks.”
